What services are available?

An External Reader has access to the Library for Consultation (consulting resources within the Library) or for Borrowing, depending on the level of service approved.
As UCC Library's primary purpose is to serve the needs of its staff and students, the interests of External Readers should not conflict with the needs of the staff or students.

Please note that access is at the discretion of the Librarian.

Due to the terms of our Licence Agreements with publishers, off-campus access to electronic resources cannot be made available to External Readers.

To give priority to UCC students, during the busy pre-examination period, we regret that External Reader applications are not accepted from March to May.
