Special Collections is located in Q-1 in the Boole Library.
Special Collections Material
All Special Collections material is for consultation only, and cannot be removed from Special Collections.
Material which is not held in the Reference Reading Room, including theses, has to be requested in advance. Some material can only be consulted in the Rare Books Reading Room. Please click here for a list. Manuscript and rare material require 24 hours to be available. Items published pre-1850 may take up to 24 hours to be available. All material that needs to be requested may be done in person, by phone or email.
The required information for requesting material is: the date material is needed, the call number in full, title and author and your contact details.

Please be aware that you need a valid UCC Student, Staff or Library Card to access Special Collections. If you are not a UCC staff member or a student, and not a member of the Library, please go to the Library & IT Services Desk on Q for information on External Readers & Visitors.
