Records generated by University College Cork, and which relate to the history of the institution, are preserved and administrated by the University Archives under the direction of Catriona Mulcahy, University Archivist [email: firstname.lastname@example.org].
UCC Library also contributes to the administration of the Cork City and County Archives located in Blackpool. Jointly funded by Cork City Council, Cork County Council, and University College Cork, it is responsible for the preservation of records of Local Government and collections of historic interest to Cork City and County. Contact details and a description of all collections can be found on their website www.corkarchives.ie
Although some items in our collections may include items of genealogical interest, UCC Library does not offer a genealogical search facility and staff will not undertake such searches. Researchers interested in family history should consult the National Archives of Ireland which offers a very comprehensive guide to genealogical research in Ireland.
